Automechanika Worldwide: 16 Trade Fairs, Their Markets and Scale
Automechanika is not one exhibition: Messe Frankfurt currently describes it as a 16-event global automotive-aftermarket network. For a supplier of radiators, condensers, intercoolers, heater cores and other thermal parts, the useful question is not simply which fair is biggest, but which city puts you in front of the right regional buyers, distributors, workshops and vehicle markets.

How to read the numbers
The figures on this page use the latest completed edition for which the organiser has published a usable result. They are not all from the same year, so they are a guide to comparative scale rather than a like-for-like league table. For newly announced or postponed events, planned floor space and exhibitor targets are separated from attendance data.
The official brand page confirms 16 Automechanika events worldwide. Jakarta is a first edition in 2026 and Baku a first edition in 2027; Riyadh has been postponed to January 2027. Those future shows are included in the network count, but are not presented as having historical visitor figures.
Which fair fits a thermal-parts supplier?
Frankfurt and Shanghai are the broadest international choices when the objective is global visibility, major distributors and supply-chain conversations. Dubai is especially useful for Gulf buyers and Africa-facing trading companies. Istanbul can combine Türkiye’s substantial domestic aftermarket with buyers from adjoining regions.
For local-market development, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City give more focused access to South Asia and ASEAN. Mexico City, Buenos Aires and Johannesburg are regional gateways in the Americas and Africa. Astana, Tashkent, Baku and Riyadh are strategic when the priority is Central Asia, the Caucasus or GCC entry rather than the highest footfall.
A practical way to select a show
Start with the market you can serve reliably: product applications, OE references, certification expectations, delivery route, minimum order quantity and local distribution model. Then choose the event whose buyer geography matches that market. A smaller fair with the right distributors can produce better enquiries than a much larger fair with the wrong vehicle parc or purchasing structure.
Bring OE lists, vehicle applications, dimensions and connection photographs
Prepare a concise product-range and quality-control introduction
Plan appointments with distributors before travelling
Record each enquiry by market, vehicle application, quantity and follow-up deadline
